Through ALL FRETS - our six-times per year magazine style publication, you will be informed of goings on in our musical community, entertained and enlightened by feature articles, and educated by the contributions of many prominent musicians and scholars who are part of our organization.
The annual FIGA CONVENTION (which will be held at the Indian Lakes Resort in Bloomingdale, Illinois from July 21 - 24th, 2010) features concerts, workshops and jam sessions as well as artist, dealer and manufacturer displays. As a member of FIGA, you will be invited to attend this event...a great way to experience an array of world-class talent; expand your knowledge of, and appreciation for, fretted musical instruments, and create new friendships with other members who share your interests.
FIGA membership is also a very effective resource for fretted musical instruction and historical studies. Through the FIGA MUSIC LIBRARY and our network of members, FIGA membership can help you find instructors in your area, learning tools, out of print instructional publications and historically important pieces of music written specifically for fretted instruments.
Additionally, THE FIGA FOUNDATION offers annual financial grants to young people interested in learning to play a fretted instrument. Additional grants for fretted instrument related projects are also available.
